History:
The Class of 1979 presented the first known Alumni Scholarship to a 2000 graduate in memory of deceased classmates from the Class of 1979.  Monies for this scholarship were collected from 1979 Alumni at the 20 year reunion held in 1999.

The BWHS Alumni Association was founded by Julie Knebel Schopp, Class of 1979 in the summer of 2000.  A donation from the Richard Holmstrom (Class of 1979 Valedictorian) Memorial Fund launched the BWHS Alumni Association, a non-profit organization.

Purpose:
The BWHS Alumni Association was founded to encourage future BWHS graduates to further their education at a Montana College or University by providing scholarship money to BWHS graduating seniors each spring beginning in 2001. 

The BWHS Alumni Association will provide a website whereby all Alumni and Reunion Committees may learn how to make tax deductible donations to the BWHS Alumni Association.

The  BWHS Alumni Association website will strive to inform future Graduates and current Alumni of the BWHS Alumni Association and its purposes.

The BWHS Alumni Association website will provide links to other sites of interest to Alumni from all over the world while striving to keep Alumni connected to our school, our city, our state and each other.
